Applicant Acknowledgement
Digital Autograph-Now for the legal stuff our lawyers require us to tell you. Please read.......
I understand that my completion of an Application for Employment does not obligate Oakley, Inc. or any of its affiliates (collectively "The Company") to interview me or to offer me a job.
I understand that it is solely up to the Company to determine if I am qualified for an available position, or the most qualified applicant for a particular job, and that the Company is not obligated to provide employment to me and that I am not obligated to accept employment. Nothing in a Job Application or Job Profile, or in any prior or subsequent oral or written statement, is contractually enforceable or intended to create a contract of employment. I certify that the answers given to the questions and the statements made on this application and in the hiring process (including statements on the attached resume, and inserted forms, if any) are true and correct to the best of my knowledge. I understand that a false or misleading statement or answer may result in a decision not to consider my application, to withdraw an offer of employment, or, if already hired, to terminate my employment with Oakley, Inc. regardless of when such false statement or answer is discovered.
I understand that, if hired, my employment with the company will be "at will" and may be terminated at any time, for any reason, and without notice by either me or the company. I understand that no representative of Oakley, Inc. has any authority to make any assurances, representations or promises contrary to the "at-will" nature of my employment unless it is in a specific contract of employment, so designated and signed by me and the CEO.
DRUG FREE WORKPLACE
Where permissible by law applicants who receive an offer of employment may be asked to submit to a screening test to detect the presence of drugs, alcohol, and/or other controlled substances in accordance with our drug-free workplace policy: The company is committed to providing a safe and productive workplace for our employees and customers. As such, the Drug-Free Workplace Policy was developed to protect our customers and our employees. The Company feels strongly that drug abuse in the workplace can affect individual performance, the security of customers, employees and the company's business.
Employees are expected to cooperate with the company in its effort to provide a substance abuse-free workplace. Failure to do so may lead to disciplinary action, up to and including termination. Oakley urges employees who feel they have a drug-related problem to seek assistance. It is our intent to help employees with problems associated with the illegal use of drugs.
If a test is required, I hereby give my voluntary consent to such testing in the form of a urine sample or other medically recognized test, and authorize the collection and screening of any sample I provide for the presence of drugs, alcohol, and or/other controlled substances. I understand that my failure to execute this voluntary consent will result in my not being further considered for employment, and that a positive test may preclude my employment with Oakley. I further understand and agree that if I am employed by Oakley, I may be required to submit to such testing under certain circumstances during my employment. I hereby consent, as an applicant, to the release of my test results to only those Oakley officials who are responsible for evaluating my employment.
BY TYPING MY NAME BELOW I CERTIFY THAT I UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS STATED ABOVE. I FURTHER CERTIFY THAT I HAVE READ THE COMPANY'S ONLINE PRIVACY POLICY AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY ITS TERMS AND CONDITION
