JOB DISCRIPTION:
• Maintain equipment and area with highest standards consistent with 5S and Lean
• Achieve output consistent with plan & identify countermeasures for variances to plan
• Set up and operate Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment
• Kit material for use in set up of SMT equipment
• Operate Wave Solder machines, as required. Understand temperature profiles, recipe selection and procert requirements
• Operate Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment at SMT & 1HL
• Print and read bill of materials
• Read and distinguish component identification
• Inspect SMT and Wave Solder output for quality defects
• Produce to IPC standards and applicable operator manuals
• Achieve Takt and keep accurate records for scrap, output, changeover, downtime, etc.
• Train and assist new operators
• Perform Operator PMs on SMT, Wave Solder and/or other equipment as required
• Monitor Machine performance as required
• Ensure all safety standards are adhered to
• Find, report and correct EH&S discrepancies on a routine basis
• Recommend improvements to material, people process flow and information flow
• Material/inventory management
• Ensure kanban levels are sufficient to maintain production requirements
• Manual board assembly as required by operational needs
• Overtime will be required as the needs of the business dictate
• Understand ever changing MFG requirements and the means of achieving those metrics
